When asked what the greatest commandment was, Jesus replied ‘first, Love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your mind; secondly, love your neighbour as yourself’. (Matthew 22: 36-40)
At the heart of the outreach team is the desire to reflect the love of Jesus by serving its neighbours and the local community of Ferney-Voltaire through biblical principles while respecting the law of the land. If you have any questions or suggestions, or if you wish to serve with us please write to the outreach team at crossroadsteamoutreach@gmail.com
The Pastoral Care Team seeks to express the love of Christ in practical ways within the Church.
We hope to see the Crossroads community draw together as a family, growing in sensitivity and generosity so that everyone feels able to find support or to help meet another’s need.
The team meets monthly to pray for and coordinate response to known practical needs within the Crossroads community, to give encouragement to those in difficulty, express sympathy to those suffering losses, and celebrate with those rejoicing. We support families with meals, transport or childcare as required. We also visit those who are ill, isolated or in hospital.
We attempt to respond to short-term practical needs, using local resources as available, whilst recognizing the lack of home networks among the expat community. Through these we would hope to communicate God's love to our church family.
Our vision is to provide each child with an atmosphere to grow into the image of Christ. We long to see in each child the fruit of a hungry and thirsty spirit for the things of God, a desire to share Christ with others, and a humble, submissive heart toward God. We believe Spirit-filled worship and teaching, covered with love and a genuine interest in the children, will form this atmosphere. We are concerned about each child’s personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ and the depth of this relationship. We would also love to see them build (life-long) friendships with others.
Women of all walks of life come together - "rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings" - Isaiah 58:20
We are so happy you are here. Our desire and prayer for you, is that you would feel loved, accepted, and encouraged in your relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a great place to make friends along the journey. We were meant to do life together. We want to ignite your passion for Jesus and provide tools and resources to deepen your faith in Christ.
Interestingly, the question that usually baffles many who encounter the reference “Young Adults” is, “Who is a Young Adult?” Indeed, there is something transitory about the name; that is, “Young”, but “Adults”! If that is you with this dilemma, then you are welcome to the Young Adults Ministry at Crossroads Church; you, most probably, are a “Young Adult”! Certainly, one of the main goals of this ministry is to inspire Young Adults to realise and grasp the meaning of their identity in Christ.
With a primary focus on persons between the ages of 20 and 40 (though not exclusively!), the Ministry seeks to embrace a growing number of young adults receive and reflect the love of Jesus Christ. We pursue this vision through regular meeting, bible study and prayer together. We get together to connect and celebrate the fellowship we have in Christ. As a Ministry, we have recently completed a discipleship track, and are keen to see how our young people continue to live out their God-given mandate in the Scriptures.
Xplosion Youth is a vibrant and diverse community of young people impacting the world for Christ!
Revival is recognising the One Who lives in you!
Acts 1:8 talks about this ‘dunamis’ (dynamite) power of God the Holy Spirit Who lives in us and enables us to be His witnesses in this dark and desolate world. Hence Xplosion. We believe that the power of the Gospel is just as explosive now as it was back in the early church of Acts. The Gospel has always been a youth movement. This is the generation that God is awakening to become Kingdom influencers in an Age where fear, confusion and distraction drives the minds and lives of people. The Gospel is and will always be the Only Hope!
Crossroads worship team aims to ‘Put God in His Place’ when we meet corporately. We aim to embrace all art forms to glorify the one who gave the gift to create them. Worship is a place where we can use our minds, bodies and hearts to communicate with God. We try with all of our talents to ‘Put God in His Place’ when we meet. We aim to embrace all art forms and in so doing glorify the One who gave the them to us. We welcome all kinds of artists and musicians of all different age groups, cultures and levels of ability.
Extraordinary Men (X-Men)
Serving God, Each Other and Community
Community of men rising to the original call God had for humanity is to live an extraordinary life not because of our strength but that of Jesus Christ, and His extraordinary Grace. Genesis 1: 26 – 28; II Peter 1:3-4
Men are called to be leaders in their homes, workplaces and communities. Men are called to be servants and to commit their lives to the ongoing process of godliness. As brothers in Christ, we challenge each other to pursue the things of God with commitment and passion. We want men to grow in their faith in a community of acceptance and support, and so we have a variety of offerings to encourage men in their faith. “We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.” Colossians 1:28There are three pillars to the activities of X-Men:
1. Serving God 2. Serving Each Other 3. Serving Community
